Due to the rapid social and economical changes that are taking place, artistic practices have
become more engaged in exploring systems, operational methods, values, societal structures,
connectivity in the form of situations, performances, registrations, social experiments, rather than
‘materiality’. A parallel wave of practices has return to old crafts and sustainable forms of material
productions as an affirmation of a lifestyle philosophy.
